Happy Holidays to all you Colorful Beings

2010 is almost here and I know most everyone is looking forward to a new year filled with new opportunities.  The colors of Black and Silver will be our colors for 2010 we need to embrace the strength of the black for focus and protection while we hold the light of the silver to remind us of the beauty in the simple things in life.

BLACK

Represents transformation, focus and protection

Black indicates willingness to experience transformation.  Most of us fear emotional pain and try to avoid it at all costs, yet sometimes it is a means to our transformation.  Low points in life can teach us what life is all about.  During difficult times in our lives, we have faced the shadow side of our selves – that part that wants to stay hidden.  Here, we have allowed ourselves to learn from our thoughts, feelings, and actions that we would like to ignore or remove.  Encountering this part of our selves has given us great strength to move on with gratitude and humility to the next step on our paths.  Through these experiences, we have been allowed to develop courage, will, perseverance, and clarity.

As foreboding as black may seem, it carries healing and hope within it.  The black energy cares enough to push us to our limits in order for gusto to return.  When we understand the true strength of black, we will thank if for what Black has done for us.  Our strength has come from embracing what we have learned.

Black is a combination of all the colors of the spectrum; therefore, it has all the possibilities. We are open to the possibilities.  This has given us opportunities to learn in many ways.  All we have learned will be valuable to us in our lives and in our ability to help others.

Beauty is not so much what we see, but what we experience.  Black truly can be beautiful, full of warmth and caring, love and desire for our best.  Behind the mask may be a soul of love.  When we embrace that soul it changes our lives by bringing forth our courage.

Black’s lesson is that of let go and let GOD move on!

That solid confidence

SILVER

Moonbeams unaffected by the darkness, soft and intuitive

The strength in silver lies in its ability to shimmer in the darkness.  Like a ray of moonlight, silver can bring light into the midst of negativity and hopelessness.  The silver moonbeam is unaffected by the darkness around it.  It is not diminished by it.  Doubt, hopelessness, grief, and suffering cannot overcome the silver light.  Instead, it brings healing through its soft glow.  Those who feel alone may find comfort in this glow; those who see not hope may find beauty, peace, and possibilities in this glow.  Where there is criticism, silver brings appreciation and value.

Silver symbolizes togetherness in love.  We may find that silver brings people together in love.  Like lovers in the moonlight, a silver ring on the finger, a silver bowl of remembrance and festivity, the silver lining of a cloud, silver marks happy times and special times to remember.  Love makes life special in many small ways.  Though love is not splashy, it is constant.  Silver helps people to remember the good life, the beauty in simple things.

Silver brings a lesson in paying attention to the simple things in life.

Silver reminds is that life is to be celebrated.

RED is the Color for Jan 2010

RED Vibration

Vibrationally speaking, red has the slowest visible wavelength, and yet it is the most stimulating of all the colors. If we take a moment to reflect on how the color red is used in our culture, we see just how true that is. Fast-food restaurants have known this fact for a long time and make liberal use of red to get you in and out of their establishments quickly. We talk about "painting the town red" when we want some excitement in our lives, the most popular sports car color is red, and when someone is on a winning streak, we say they are "red-hot." On the other hand, anger is an emotion that has long been associated with the color red, as in "seeing red,&quo t; and we always depict the Devil in a red suit. As you can see, red, like every color, has its challenging as well as its positive aspects:

ORANGE is the COLOR
of the month for
February 2010

ORANGE Vibration

The ORANGE vibration is best associated with bliss. When we think of the saffron robes of the Buddhist monks, we begin to get a feel for the deep rapture and insight that this color represents. ORANGE is often a color that evokes strong feelings, both of like and dislike, which is understandable when we know what its positive as well as its challenging aspects represent. We may be drawn to ORANGE, because it represents who we truly are, or we may be drawn to it, because we have an intense need for it. On the other hand, we may be repelled by it, because we are unwilling to look at our intense need for it, i.e., it represents an area so painful, we are not comfortable looking at it. This situation is true of all the colors, but it is particularly true of ORANGE, because ORANGE'S challenging aspect represents trauma:

YELLOW is the
Color for March 2010

YELLOW Vibration

We cannot help but think of the sun and the warmth and promise of bright sunshine when we think of the color YELLOW.  Yellow on the physical body vibrates to the area of the solar plexus energy center. Research has shown that yellow has an uplifting and brightening effect that is very helpful with depression. We have all heard about how sunlight deprivation can lead to a syndrome called SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and it is well documented that geographical areas that have reduced amounts of sunshine have elevated suicidal levels.

Another area of yellow that you may not be aware of is its association with the intellect. Don't we often describe someone with a good mind as “bright?” What could be brighter than sunshine? On the other hand, let's consider the expressions, "yellow-bellied coward" or someone who has a "yellow streak down his back," indicating quite a different side to yellow and displaying that it, like every color, has its challenging aspects as well as its positive ones. Yellow is sunshine, joy, happiness, acquired knowledge and intellectual fulfillment.

Color Complement:   Purple/Violet is the vibrational color that is opposite to yellow.

I must say something about astrology and the planets as we have all felt the impact of
Mars retrograde since Dec.

Finally March is here.  This is a big month celestially because Mars, planet of energy and action, goes direct on the 10th in 0 Leo!  This is a double horray!

When a planet is retrograde, it appears to be moving backwards in the heavens, and that's how it feels here on earth.  Where is Leo in your natal chart?  Thins may have been on hold in this area of life.  After the 10th of March everyone's energy moves forward.

Look for 0 Leo in your birth chart.  That's where the action will start for you.  Keep in mind that only after Mars returns to 19 Leo 43, the point at which it went retrograde in December, will we have truly learned the lesson of the retrograde Mars.  This will occur on May 17th.

The New Moon is on the 15th in 25 Pisces 10.  See where it falls in your natal chart.  That's the area of new beginnings.

The Full Moon on the 29th is in 9 Libra 17.  Wherever it falls in your natal chart is the area where things come to a head and go POP!
